Haylee My Bunny

May 13, 2008 by mikki

Haylee is my bunny. We got her on Good Friday 2007 from people who lived in Hammond Park. She likes eating celery, carrots, pellets, seeds, apples and broccoli. We don’t know how old she is. She likes running around her house, eating. and sleeping. She doesn’t like getting picked up or getting her sleep interrupted.

The Frog

November 9, 2007 by mikki

What a wonderful bird the frog are-

When he stand he sit almost;

When he hop, he fly almost.

He ain’t got no sense hardly;

He ain’t got no tail hardly either.

When he sit, he sit on what he ain’t got almost.

Banananananananananana

by mikki

I thought I’d win the spelling bee.

And get right to the top,

But when I started to spell “banana,”

I didn’t know when to stop!

The Codfish

by mikki

The Codfish lays ten thousand eggs,

The homely hen lays one.

The Codfish never crackles

To tell you what she’s done.

And so we scorn the Codfish,

While the humble hen we prize,

Which only goes to show you

That it pays to advertise.

Jeff’s Big Day

by mikki

Jeff went to the movies to see the Incredibles. It was great. When he got out of the movie theatre he threw his lolly bag in the bin. He went to the shops and bought some dog food, chicken, beef, sausages, carrots, apples, bananas, cookies for morning tea, apple pies for afternoon tea, sausage rolls, meat pies, popcorn seeds, cheese, bread, blank paper and mayonnaise. The shopping costed ten dollars and fifty cents. Jeff got in his small blue car and drove home.

When he got home he put his groceries in their right places. He gave his dog Sam some dog food and made himself a salad sandwich for lunch. After lunch Jeff got Sam’s ball and played fetch with Sam.

After that Jeff and Sam went to the park. Then they went home. Jeff put his swim suit in his back pack with all his other swimming stuff. Then he went to the swimming centre. Jeff had fun swimming. When Jeff had finished swimming he took his swim suit off and put his dry clothes on. He got all his gear ready and left the swimming centre.

When he got home he got some beef and rice ready for dinner. When he finished his dinner he got some ice cream, a bowl, a desert spoon and an ice cream scoop out. He got his desert ready and ate it up slowly.

After eating his ice cream Jeff cleaned up his mess, had a quick shower and put his pyjamas on. After he put his pyjamas on Jeff got a bottle off milk and a plastic cup out. He poured the milk in his plastic cup and put the cup in the microwave for one minute. While he was waiting for his hot milk Jeff put the bottle of cold milk in the fridge. When one minute was over Jeff drank the milk, brushed his teeth carefully, got a cup of water, put it on his bed side table and went to bed.

Before going to sleep Jeff thought of all the fun things he did that day. He went to the movies then went shopping, played with Sam, went to the park and to the swimming centre, he had a lovely dinner and then went to bed. Jeff went to sleep after he thought of all the nice things he did that day.

I’m a Painter

by mikki

I look outside my window and see the trees and bushes rustling heavily in the rough wind. I take slow steps into my wide, tidy, Tosca painted room. I go through my wide, white painted drawer and pull out a small grey shoe box. I walk quickly into the large, aqua laundry and head towards the white metal cupboard under the laundry sink. I open the door of the cupboard and pull out a soft, small cloth and put it on my shoe box. I close the cupboard door and start walking outside.

I walk to the outside table and put my shoe box on one of the chairs. I sit down and open the box lid and pull out an ice-cream lid. Then I pull out some coloured paints. First green, then red, after that blue, then yellow, black and white. I open the lids of the paint bottles and squirt a small blob onto the white ice-cream lid one by one. Then I get my plastic yellow cup, get out of my seat, walk to the tap and fill it up halfway with water. Then I return to my seat at the table. I put the cup carefully on the table and sit down again. Then I get a large piece of paper from the roll and put it on the red table.

I get a lead pencil, a small, medium paint brush and a large paint brush out of the open box. I put the paint brushes neatly on the table and hold the pencil steady and tight in my hand. Then I look across to the red petunia and start sketching. A few minutes have passed and I’ve finished sketching. I pick up the small paint brush and dip it into the red paint. I go over the flower petals as slowly and as neatly as I can. Then I dip my red bristles of my paint brush into the cup of water and continue painting with green, then yellow, then blue and finally white. Once I have finished painting I put my equipment away because my beautiful picture is complete. I love and enjoy painting pictures.

The End
